Since 2017, we have enjoyed a successful collaboration with the ASA-Program from the German organization Engagement Global – Service für Entwicklungsinitiative. Once a year, qualified young individuals from Germany come to Offinso for a period of three months to engage in our projects, contribute new ideas, share their knowledge, and learn. So far, we have been conducting several projects together like the reinforcement of a network for farmers through a data collection in several villages in the Offinso Municipality or a capacity building for farmers on agroecology.
Due to COVID-19, we haven’t been able to welcome ASA-participants in the years between 2020 and 2022. However, we are very happy that we could continue with the cooperation in 2023. The program aims to promote knowledge and experiences in the fields of sustainable development and social justice, benefiting both the participants and the host organization.
This partnership has enabled us to make significant strides in our shared mission, including:
- Knowledge Exchange: Participants from the ASA Program bring fresh perspectives and expertise that have assisted us in reevaluating our approaches and generating innovative ideas. Simultaneously, they have the opportunity to learn from our extensive experience in project work.
- Expansion of Networks: The partnership has broadened our network and provided us access to a wider range of experts and potential supporters.
Our collaboration with the ASA Program from Germany stands as a living testament to how international partnerships can contribute to promoting sustainable development and addressing global challenges. We are committed to sustaining this fruitful cooperation and eagerly anticipate working together with our ASA Program partners to create a better future.
